I’ve been here 3 times. I wish I took better photos. This place is charming. It’s tiny. The service is friendly and fast. The people who work here, including the chef, are warm and kind and easy going. The Belgian hot chocolate is fresh and delicious. My French onion soup, eggs and toast, salad and a tuba melt w fries were each delicious. They play French music and 1930 ‘s jazz and pleasant music to eat to. The cozy, candlelit, yellow tuliped atmosphere is sweet. I love this place!!

I absolutely love this place. I was born and raised in this area and my parents used to take me here when it was a little Belgian bistro in the early 2000’s. I had my first ever waffle here! Though it’s a different cuisine these days, the ownership has miraculously stayed the same and the food is still amazing. It’s perfect for a cozy brunch. The place is tiny, service is friendly and warm, and the food, in addition to being delicious, is generously portioned. It’s always a fun challenge to try and fit every dish on the table lol. My favorites are the eggs en cocotte, fish and chips, and of course any of their waffle dishes (obv theirs is the OG waffle in my mind). I always order a pot of tea and try to sit in the window for people watching on Hudson. Oscar’s is a neighborhood gem and I’m grateful a place like this can still exist in this neighborhood. It always brings me back to my earliest, sweetest memories.

Cozy (i.e. small) and friendly. Better English breakfast than I’ve ever had in London.

Charming underrated hidden gem. The kind of place you want to stay in business but hope nobody else finds it. I'm not even sure why I'm posting this review, don't tell anybody.

A gem on Hudson and Barrow. The outdoor seating is perfect for people watching on a summers day, the coffee is tasty and strong, and the English breakfast was filling and the right amount of grease. The waiter is also the owner and he was delightful, though I am a sucker for an English accent everytime. Inside appeared pretty cramped, but it's New York what do you expect. If you want a cute, no frills corner spot with an English accent come to Oscar's Place!

The place handles both busy times and quiet ones with skill. I've been exploring their menu one dish at a time. The interior creates the intended atmosphere. The staff member's optimism completely made my experience. We'll absolutely be returning here.

My standard expectations were blown out of the water. The restaurant offers various food selections. The employees offer sufficient courtesy and valuable assistance. All items provide satisfying taste experiences. I guarantee you'll enjoy what they serve and where they serve it.
